We need your input!

Back in 2023, Council Member Gale A. Brewer allocated $6.89 million for the renovation of River Run Playground in Riverside Park at W. 83rd Street. It’s always a long process, but we’ve reached an important milestone: a proposed design (available here).

The NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation is taking feedback on the design. Please email your thoughts to district6@council.nyc.gov and MhBoroCapital@park.nyc.gov with the subject line “River Run.” (One caveat: the proposal does not include renovating the playground bathroom—that part of the project needs separate funding—we’re working on it!).

There is also a public meeting to review the design with the Parks Department and Manhattan Community Board 7 on Monday, 10/20 at 6:30 p.m. Th hybrid meeting of the Parks & Environment Committee will take place at CB7’s Office (250 West 87th Street, 2nd floor) and via zoom (link to come).
