The New York City Council voted Tuesday to approve legislation sponsored by Upper West Side Council Member Gale Brewer that allows the New York City Department of Sanitation to place large, highlighter-colored warning stickers on vehicles that fail to move during alternate side parking hours. New York Secretary of State Walter T. Mosley today announced the completion of the $392,000 Cultural Welcome Center, Think!Chinatown Studio, as part of Chinatown’s $20 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) award. LINK: Thanks to Governor Hochul, Chinatown continues to benefit from the $20 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant that I championed and helped secure.

On June 10th, the New York Philharmonic will host its popular, full-orchestra, outdoor performance on the Great Lawn in Central Park… Some Upper West Siders, including Councilmember Gale Brewer, are worried about unsuspecting dog owners, who might be walking their pooches in Central Park at the time.
