I’m delighted to announce the 2024 Fresh Food for Seniors program!
It’s our 12th year of offering a great value—$15 worth of locally grown fruits and vegetables for just $10—for seniors on the West Side every two weeks. It’s pay-as-you go, not a subscription, so not only is it a great value with no need for a commitment—just a little advance planning.
The first pickup day is Wednesday, 7/10 at our main location, Goddard Riverside Older Adult Center (593 Columbus at 88th St). Place your orders for that first day at my District Office (563 Columbus) on Monday and Tuesday, 7/1–7/2, then pickup your first bag on 7/10 from 1–3 pm. (You can then place your next order on that day for pickup 7/24). The complete calendar:

- Place orders August 7 to pick up Wednesday, August 21
- Place orders August 21 to pick up Wednesday, Sept. 4
