The Mayor’s City of Yes initiative seeks to amend zoning regulations to promote sustainability, support small business, and create affordable housing across the five boroughs. The Department of City Planning is currently in the second phase: Zoning for Economic Opportunity (ZEO).

ZEO began review in October 2023. Community Boards and Borough Presidents have offered their recommendations, and the CPC held a public hearing in January. 

Our office has received a large number of questions regarding these proposed changes under ZEO. In an effort to promote transparency, below, you will find a presentation answering a few of the most commonly asked questions from our South Brooklyn neighbors

Letters on Last Mile

On April 5, 2024, a majority of New York City Council members signed onto a letter to the Department of City Planning to demand that the city commit to regulating last mile facilities.
