Homebase provides New Yorkers experiencing housing instability with various homeless prevention services and aftercare services to families and individuals exiting NYC DHS shelter to permanent housing. Homebase locations are servicing clients either via phone or for in-person services. Anyone seeking Homebase services should call the office in advance to schedule an appointment.

Public Library After School Programs

The Castle Hill Library offers free weekly activities and classes for kids, teens, and adults. They have activities like lego creation hour, teen gaming, and adult art therapy– all free of charge. See their events calendar here.

The Clason Point Library’s free activities include career and college counseling for teens, storytime and afterschool programs for kids, family movie nights, and more!

Snow response is a year-round process see how the DSNY plans and organizes months before winter weather conditions strike here.
