It’s Participatory Budget season in District 27! $1 million in taxpayer money will be allocated to the community to improve our local schools, parks, libraries, public housing, roadways, and other public areas. With your votes, we are able to make public spending more equitable and allow for transparency regarding budget usage within our district. This is especially important because participatory budgeting provides an opportunity for the council to be deliberative by opening up government for our constituents and focusing our efforts in implementing changes we want to see in our community. Anybody who lives or works in the District to take part in this local initiative! So please cast your vote online and in person. Let’s make it count, #InsideThe27!
