Wreath Decorating Contest

Join our community Wreath Decorating Contest and show off your creative holiday cheer! Wreaths must be submitted to the Roy Wilkins Recreation Center (177-01 Baisley Blvd.) by Monday, December 8th, at 12:00 PM. Registration is required click the link to enter the contest and compete for community bragging rights!


Join Council Member Dr. Nantasha Williams for a festive community event on Saturday, December 14th, from 1 PM – 5 PM at Roy Wilkins Park (177-01 Baisley Blvd). We’ll have Ice Skating, Live Music, Entertainment, and Local Vendors! Bring a new toy for our Toy Drive!

Holiday Toy Giveaway

The Holiday Toy Giveaway is happening on December 14th from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Roy Wilkins Park Recreational Center Gym (177-01 Baisley Blvd.). RSVP is strictly required via Eventbrite, and a child must be present to receive one toy while supplies last.

Council Member Nantasha Williams invites you to join us for the annual Christmas in Hollis Holiday Giveback!

Come celebrate the season of giving with family, friends, and neighbors on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at 12 PM (location to be announced). This joyful community event, hosted in partnership with the Jam Master Jay Foundation, Try Love Foundation, Black Mothers Speak, and Darryl Makes Cookies, will spread holiday cheer and give back to local families.


Hurricane Relief for Jamaica Donation Drive

Our office is currently serving as a relief drop-off center as we assist with efforts following Hurricane Melissa, which devastated Jamaica on October 28th, 2025. We are accepting new clothing and essential items only to support those affected.

Please note: We are not accepting any monetary donations, and we cannot accept food items or old/damaged clothing.

Drop off items like sanitary napkins, batteries, and towels at the District Office at 172-12 Linden Blvd. any weekday between 10 AM and 5 PM. Please note that donations are being collected until December 11, 2025.


Council Member Nantasha Williams invites all veterans and their families to attend our monthly Veteran Services Day, hosted in partnership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

On the second Thursday of every month at Proctor-Hopson VFW Post 1896, 110-02 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11433, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
