The FY27 discretionary funding application is now LIVE through Wednesday, February 18, at 6 PM on the City Council’s website. Organizations that fail to submit an application by that deadline will NOT be eligible for discretionary expense funding this cycle. In addition to following all of the steps required by the City Council to qualify for funding, please fill out this supplemental form to be considered for Discretionary funding from City Council Member Jennifer Gutiérrez by February 25th, 2026.

Nonprofit organizations that wish to receive funding must submit a City Council Discretionary Funding Application and CapGrants. Only filling out the supplementary form is not sufficient.

After the supplemental form is submitted, someone from our office will be in touch with organizations that will be receiving the next round of meetings in February.

For groups seeking to be eligible to the Cultural Immigrant or Cultural After School Adventure (CASA) Member Designated Initiative, please be aware of the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) Cultural Development Fund (CDF) fiscal year deadline. Previous applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding release dates, application information and reminders, deadlines, funding notifications, and more. For new and returning applicants, please visit the “About CDF / Registration” section of the DCLA website to ensure your current e-mail address is enrolled to receive streamlined communication from DCLA.

Capital Funding

Applicants for capital funds can access the Portal on the CapGrants webpage. Capital applications requesting both Borough President funding and Council funding must be submitted by Thursday, February 19, at 5 PM. Applications requesting Council funding only must be submitted by Thursday, March 19, at 5 PM. 

Meetings

After the supplemental form is submitted, someone from our office will be in touch with organizations that will be receiving the next round of meetings in February. We will assess capital meetings on an as needed basis. 

Please keep in mind that meetings will be capped at 15 minutes in order to accommodate a high volume of meeting requests.  Not receiving a meeting does not mean you will not receive funding.
