Reso 0025: Resolution calling upon the New York State legislature to pass, and the Governor to sign, A.8619A/S.7573, which would expand eligibility for victims and survivors of crime to access victim compensation funds.
Int 0273: Requiring police officers to receive training related to recognizing and interacting with individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
Int 912: Require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to prepare a plan to improve nurse staffing levels at hospitals.
Int 542: Require the Department of Education, the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), and the Department of Correction (DOC) to issue a yearly report on educational statistics and related incidents pertaining to juvenile delinquents, juvenile offenders and adolescent offenders in ACS and DOC facilities.
Int 0997: Would expand the definition of “use of force incidents” that must be reported by the New York City Police Department to include when an officer, while taking police action, responds to an incident or conditions and displays or unholsters a weapon.
Int 968: Require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (“DOHMH”) to develop a professional education program regarding sickle cell disease, in consultation with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. This bill would also require DOHMH to develop a public education and outreach campaign regarding sickle cell disease.
Int 885: Would provide for the automatic waiver of certain additional penalties for failure to respond to a parking violation if the owner of a vehicle responds to such violation between 45 and 90 days after its issuance.
Int 796: Would require the New York City Police Department (“NYPD”) to create a website for victims of a serious motor vehicle collision to access information about the collision, including updates on the status of the investigation of the collision, whether or not any summonses had been issued and whether any witnesses had been identified.
Int 969: Requires the department of small business services to create a directory of local community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and a web portal that would permit local CDFIs to publish information about the services they provide and the communities they serve. The proposed bill also requires the department to reach out to small businesses and minority and women owned businesses to increase awareness of the services provided by local CDFIs.
Int 967: Require the Department of Small Business Services, in coordination with any other relevant agency, to develop and implement a three-year pilot program which establishes at least one small business incubator located within a public housing facility in each borough.
Res 0562: Resolution calling upon the New York State Legislature to pass, and the Governor to sign, legislation that would ease nursing home staffing and capacity constraints by increasing Medicaid reimbursement rates by at least 20 percent.
Int 996: Require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to provide blood pressure machines in high need publicly accessible areas throughout the city. The bill would also require DOHMH to post on their website the public places where such machines are located as well as instructions on the use and operation of the blood pressure machines.
