More than $100,000 allocated from Council Member’s budget to install security cameras, business development, and beautification services.

Council Member Joseph C. Borelli (R-South Shore) is announcing that his office has allocated more than $100,000 in funding for security cameras, business support services, and beautification for south shore communities this fiscal year. The funds will be used to install seven new security cameras in Annadale, following Borelli’s previous years’ successful camera initiatives and NYPD partnerships in Eltingville and Great Kills’ commercial corridors.

Staten Island, NY –City Council Member Joe Borelli, Chair of the Committee on Fire and Emergency Services, and Minority Leader Steven Matteo are distributing free batteries to Staten Island residents to use in home smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, to help ensure these early warning devices are working properly.

Borelli (R-South Shore) and Borough President James Oddo are announcing two brand new improvements coming to Wolfe’s Pond Park in Huguenot; a playground and basketball courts. Much of the recreational infrastructure at the park, one of the most popular on the south shore, had been damaged by the storm surge during and after Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
