New York City Council is seeking an experienced Office Manager to work with the team in the Information Technology Division.

SALARY RANGE:

$90,000 to $120,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Information Technology office.
  • Handle all equipment and software requests from Council Members and divisions: (i) intake and correspondence; (ii) getting all specifications and/or quotes from vendors; (iii) inform the Administrative Services Division on finalized requests for purchase and related tracking of requests, quotes, orders, delivery, and distribution of Information Technology inventory;
  • Act as liaison between the Information Technology department and other departments and Council Member offices.
  • Manage schedules, communications, and documentation for the Information Technology team.
  • Coordinate onboarding and off boarding processes in terms of Information Technology assets and access.
  • Maintain accurate records of Information Technology inventory, licenses, and support tickets.
  • Monitor performance of Information Technology support staff and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Support project management for Information Technology initiatives, including timelines and resource tracking.
  • Schedule, organize and participate in all staff meetings, drafting the agenda, providing input and suggestions pertaining to the operations of the division.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Technology policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and manage contracts and service agreements.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support or administrative management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and office productivity tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management preferred.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with remote team coordination or hybrid work environments.
  • Office-based with occasional remote work.
  • May require extended hours during major IT rollouts or emergencies.

New York City residency required within 90 days of appointment.
