Thank you for your interest in partnership for Fiscal Year 2025. As we enter into a new discretionary funding season, our office receives many requests and inquiries regarding the process and we want to ensure you have the information to participate.

Trainings

  • Discretionary Funding – Simplified:
    • Monday, January 22nd | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (in partnership with the NonProfit HelpDesk and Council Member Mercedes Narcisse)
  • Brooklyn Organizations Budget Workshop:
    • Tuesday, January 30th | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (in partnership with the Council Finance Division and the Brooklyn Delegation)

    • Thursday, February 8th | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (in partnership with the NonProfit HelpDesk)

Application

Please note, in order to be considered for discretionary funding (both expense and capital), you must fill out the City Council application in addition to our office’s supplementary form below.

The Council’s FY2025 expense funding application will close on Tuesday, February 20, 2024No further applications will be accepted after this date. If you did not complete your discretionary funding application prior to this date, you will not be eligible for funding during this budget cycle. The form below is used to schedule meetings for those who have already submitted their application.

If you or your organization have questions regarding your Council application, please email discretionary@council.nyc.gov, and if you have specific questions regarding your application for the district, please email Blake Shaw at BShaw@council.nyc.gov.

If you currently provide services within the district, you may be asked to send documentation of your activities, including but not limited to flyers, sign-in sheets, and photographs.
