“Summer months can be challenging for kids who rely on school meals since schools close and access to such meals is limited. I am excited about Hunger Free America’s partnership with the New York City Department of Education (DOE) to promote and deliver healthy and nutritious food to children and teenagers,” said Council Member Farah Louis. “Throughout the summer, the Free Summer Meals program provides breakfast and lunch at schools, libraries, and other public locations throughout the five boroughs at no cost to scholars under 18 years of age. I was thrilled to have Hunger Free America at P.S. 244K in East Flatbush to promote the summer meals program and ensure no child goes hungry this summer.”
