STATEMENT BY COUNCIL MEMBER LOUIS

As a former RWDSU member and newest Member of the New York City Council, I was proud to stand in solidarity with you against the repeated attempts to delay the vote to organize. Your two-year campaign for workers’ rights and workplace protection was hard-fought and won with courage, strength, tenacity. This vote is a tremendous victory for the staff and clients of NYC Housing Works, and the City to ensure continuity of services for homeless and low-income New Yorkers,” said Council Member Farah N. Louis, a member of the Council Committee on Civil Service and Labor.

New York City Council Member Farah N. Louis represents the 45th Council District, which comprises Flatbush, East Flatbush, Midwood, Marine Park, Flatlands, & Kensington in Brooklyn, NY.
