STATEMENT FROM COUNCIL MEMBER ERIC DINOWITZ ON THE SCOTUS BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP RULING IN TRUMP V. BARBARA

BRONX, NY — Council Member Eric Dinowitz today released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling on Birthright Citizenship in Trump v. Barbara:

“I welcome the Supreme Court’s rejection of the Trump Administration’s bid to end birthright citizenship. This ruling reaffirms a critical principle that has stood since the ratification of the 14th Amendment. I am proud to represent District 11, home to generations of immigrants who are the lifeblood of the Bronx’s neighborhood and culture. I will continue to support and stand up for the rights of immigrant New Yorkers.”
