NEW YORK, NY – Today, The City Council passed a resolution (Res. No. 0581A-2023) introduced by Council Member Eric Dinowitz. The resolution recognizes the month of November as Veteran Appreciation Month in New York City.

“The pure bravery of those who put their lives on the line to ensure that we are safe and that our values are protected deserve our deepest gratitude,” said Council Member Dinowitz. “I am committed to supporting, protecting, and recognizing our veterans, and with the passage of this resolution, we are taking one more step in ensuring that our veterans get the recognition they deserve. I am thankful for Borough President Gibson’s partnership on this resolution, and look forward to November 2023, New York City’s FIRST Veteran Appreciation Month.”

I want to thank Council Member Eric Dinowitz for his partnership on this resolution as well as Speaker Adrienne Adams and the entire New York City Council for officially declaring November as Veteran Appreciation Month in our city.”
