The application process for Fiscal Year 2025 Discretionary Funding is now open. The application form can be accessed on the New York City Council website. https://council.nyc.gov/budget/Please take note that all not-for-profit community-based organizations intending to seek discretionary funding for FY2025 are required to submit a Council Application. Organizations failing to meet the application deadline will not be considered eligible for discretionary expense funding during this cycle. We strongly emphasize the importance of providing comprehensive and detailed information in your application.

Additionally, our office has a supplemental form to facilitate the application process specifically for groups seeking funding from Council District 8. Kindly ensure the completion of the form by Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Your timely cooperation is greatly appreciated.

FY25 Applications deadlines: FY25 Discretionary Expense Funding Application Filing Period: Thursday, January 4, 2024-Tuesday, February 20, 2024 FY25 Capital Funding Application Filing Period: Application deadlines vary depending on the source of the funding your group has requested.

  • Thursday, February 22, 2024, 5:00pm: applies if your project requests any funding from Borough Presidents (including those groups that are also requesting funding from the Council or Department of Cultural Affairs)
  • Thursday, March 21, 2024, 5:00pm: applies if your project is only requesting funding from the Council and/or the Department of Cultural Affairs
