In FY 2021 Councilmember Ayala allocated 2.3 million in capital funding to district 8 schools.  She also co-sponsored Intro 2057, a local bill to prevent food insecurities involving school shutdowns. 

Resolution 0540 – calling upon the New York State Education Department to require, implement and enforce more extensive training and tracking of the training of school bus drivers and attendants who transport students with disabilities.
