ROAD TRIPPING: Severe storms in the New York area scrambled flights out of the city and made for travel nightmares for delegates trying to get to Chicago in time for Harris’ ceremonial nomination.
Several, like Assemblymember Grace Lee, were stuck in a frustrating cycle of rebooking flights just to have them canceled. (She eventually took a car to Philly and flew from there to Chicago.)
Some got stranded briefly in other states, including Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Assemblymember Karines Reyes, who were in Michigan earlier today.
Others hit the open road, driving 12 to 14 hours, crammed together in cars, hopefully with the mindset that the convention is the friends you made along the way. Which carload had the best adventure? Tell us here at Playbook:
