Columbia President Minouche Shafik welcomed Barnard President Laura Rosenbury, Teachers College President Thomas Bailey, and New York City Council member Shaun Abreu to the Manhattanville Campus on September 20 to rally students, faculty, staff, Morningside Heights and West Harlem community partners, and neighbors to the third day of the Great Broadway Sweep.

“It is such a huge pleasure to be with you here today in support of the Great Broadway Sweep and our partnership with the City of New York and with the Sanitation Foundation,” Shafik said. “Being an integral part of the city, we see it as our responsibility to contribute to making this city even better. And we pride ourselves on being a good local citizen.”
