“The City’s response to today’s major snow storm is markedly improved from the response of a month ago.

“I want to recognize the greatly improved response and thank Mayor Bloomberg and his commissioners for listening to the Council and to the concerns voiced by New Yorkers at the Council’s hearings.

“The response is in line with what New Yorkers have come to and should expect.

“We understand that there may be blocks or places in the city that may still have some snow related challenges — and we urge New Yorkers to call 311 and your local Council Member to report dangerous conditions.

“Again, we want to recognize the much improved response and thank all the city workers who facilitated it.”
