Pursuant to section 247 (b) of the New York City Charter, the Council is required to submit to the Mayor, and publish, recommendations to the Mayor’s Preliminary Budget to be included in the Mayor’s Executive Budget no later than March 25th of each year.

On December 19, 2013, the Council voted on Int. 1228 (Local law 153 of 2013) to extend such date to April 21, 2014. Pursuant to Local Law 153, below are the Council’s recommendations to the Preliminary Budget.

The Council’s Budget Response, a document which will provide greater detail about our recommendations, will be released on April 23, 2014.
