“This evening marks the beginning of the Passover holiday.  It is a time for family and friends to gather, reflect, and honor sacred traditions. At the Passover Seder, it is said, let all who are hungry come and eat, all who are in need, come and share the Passover meal.  During the Seder ceremony we are reminded that there are those of us still struggling to make ends meet, who live in hardship and face adversity. This holiday teaches that we ought to reach out to those less fortunate, to be mindful, patient, and considerate of our neighbors. So, tonight as my Jewish brothers and sisters celebrate and retell the story of their exodus from slavery to freedom, I wish them a Chag Pesach Sameach.”
