“Mother’s Day is a time for us all to show appreciation for the mothers in our lives. As a City, we also should make use of this day to consider all that we can do to make New York a better place for mothers and families. This City Council will continue to advocate for policies on the state and federal level that make New York more livable and welcoming to mothers providing for their households, such as the Paid Family Leave Act. I’d like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to All New Yorkers.”
