City Hall – Today the City Council will vote on legislation to co-name 56 streets in New York City, including two streets being co-named in honor of fallen NYPD Detectives Liu and Ramos. The Council will also vote on legislation to reform tax liens in New York City.

Council will Advocate for Funds to Provide NYPD Officers With New Bulletproof Vests

City Hall — City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, Council Member Vincent Gentile, Finance Committee Chair Julissa Ferreras, Public Safety Committee Chair Vanessa Gibson and the New York City Council today proposed allocating $7.3 million in the FY 2016 preliminary budget and additional funds in the coming years to replace existing bulletproof vests.
