We urge the Board’s commissioners to seize this opportunity to strengthen the leadership of their agency and the Council stands ready to assist in anyway possible. The search for the Board’s next executive director must be a thorough and transparent process that includes an exhaustive and national search for the most qualified candidate – a candidate who will bring the Board into the 21st century and administer elections so that no New Yorker is ever disenfranchised.”
