 (BROOKLYN, New York): Under the direct involvement of City Council Member Darlene Mealy (D-41), the Brooklyn Street where then 12-year old Kade Lewin was shot and killed on March 31, 2022 was co-named for the slain young man. The KADE ASHTON TYLER LEWIN WAY was officially unveiled by Council Member Darlene Mealy in the presence of a large contingent of community residents, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, Public Advocate Jumaanie Williams, State Senator Zellnor Myrie, and Assemblywoman Monique Chandler-Waterman.
