Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process that gives YOU a direct say in how public funds are spent in our district. You can share ideas for local improvements, work with fellow community members and City agencies to develop project proposals, and vote on which projects should receive funding. Projects include upgrades to schools, parks, libraries, public housing, streets, and other public spaces.
Please join us for our Participatory Budgeting Kickoff Meeting on November 10 at 6:00 PM at the Stonewall Visitor Center. We’ll share what’s ahead for this year’s cycle, discuss ways to get involved, and kick off another year of community-driven ideas and investment.
Date: Tuesday, November 10th
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center
Address: 51 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014
Already have an idea for how to improve our district? You can share it on this year’s Participatory Budgeting Idea Map! The Idea Map is an interactive online tool where you can submit ideas for potential PB projects that would improve our neighborhoods. These ideas will inform the next steps of our process.
