Intro 29 is my legislation to require the Director of the New York City Office to End Gender-Based Violence, in consultation with the New York City Fire Commissioner and Police Commissioner, to develop a training program for first responders on how to recognize and respond to traumatic brain injuries (TBI) that may result from domestic violence. The training, which would be developed in consultation with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts, would cover topics such as the prevalence and causes of TBI among domestic violence survivors, how to identify symptoms, how to respond to support individuals in emergencies, and the long-term health impacts of repeated brain injuries.

📸 Skate Party 2025

What a turnout we had at our Skate Party in Caserta Playground—always exciting to see families, kids, and neighbors come out to roll, dance, and celebrate community together. A true Bronx moment filled with joy, connection, and community!

Now the school that helped raise me has a street named in its honor: Preston High School Way — right here on the corner of Schurz and Lafayette. I’m proud to have helped make it happen for every past, present, and future Panther.

Joined by Superintendent Joynt, Principal Evans, and leaders from Community School District 8, I was proud to see the incredible upgrades that will transform the educational experience for our young people. These improvements give our students a safe, modern, and inspiring place to learn and grow — right here in the Bronx.
