Thank you for your interest in applying for City Council discretionary funding. The application period for Fiscal Year 2026 is now open. Below, you’ll find important details about how to apply for funding, request budget meetings, or introduce your community-based organization (CBO) to our office. Information on Capital Funding requests is also included further below.
Expense Funding Requests
The deadline to submit your application for discretionary funding is February 19, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted.

When you’re ready to apply, please access the application portal here. Our office does require submission of supplemental form, which can be accessed here. The application and the supplemental form must be submitted by February 19, 2025, at 5pm. Meeting requests will not be granted after this date. Additionally, please be advised that if you received funds in the FY25 cycle, you must submit FY25 Status Report by February 15, 2025, 5:00 PM. Please click here to access the FY25 Status Report. Failure to submit this report will result in discontinuation of funds in the FY26 cycle.
Organizations selected to receive funding for FY26 will be required to submit a FY26 Status Report next year. Capital Funding Requests
If you are interested in applying for Capital Funding from District 9, here are the key deadlines:
• For non-city entities applying for funding from the NYC Council, the deadline is March 20, 2025.
• If you are applying to both the Borough President’s Office and the NYC Council, your deadline is February 20, 2025.

Eligibility Guidelines for Non-City Agencies
If your organization is a non-city agency with non-profit status and you are seeking capital funding, please carefully review the eligibility guidelines. It is essential to provide all required documentation to the City for final approval and comply with post-designation requirements.
Schools in Council District 9
If you are a school applying for Reso A Capital Funding, we encourage you to review the School Construction Authority’s guidelines before submitting your application. The key deadlines for schools are as follows:
• Applications to both the Borough President’s Office and the NYC Council: February 20, 2025
• All other Reso A applications: March 20, 2025

Important Note
All forms must be completed prior to requesting a meeting. Meetings must be requested by the due date of the applications and forms. However, due to the high demand for meeting requests, we may not be able to accommodate every submission. Our team will review your intake form and reach out if we are able to schedule your request. Organizations are limited to one meeting request per time period.
