Council Member Joseph Borelli (R-South Shore) is calling on Mayor de Blasio and Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito of the New York City Council to reconsider their proposal to remove the Christopher Columbus statue, a cherished symbol of Italian-American heritage and contributions to the United states.
