Fighting For Our Retirees
Councilwoman Ariola joined several Council colleagues on the steps of City Call this week, showing their support for the city’s retirees at risk for losing their health insurance. “I have been at the forefront and leading this march to support our retirees, and will not let go, I will not let up,” Ariola said. “Our retirees deserve the retirement benefits and healthcare benefits that they were promised and it is our job as their elected officials to make sure that remains intact.” Read more
Opposing Alma
Councilwoman Ariola attended a recent meeting concerning new developments at the Surfside buildings along Rockaway’s Shore Front Parkway, where she vehemently opposed a developers plan to add hundreds of new units to the area. Citing the developer’s inability to care for the buildings they already own, Ariola joined many other concerned residents in opposing the new construction. Read more
Lifting The Mandates
The Councilwoman penned a letter to the NYC Department of Education Chancellor David Banks and Health Department Commissioner Ashwin Vasan, demanding that the vaccine mandates preventing parents and guardians from attending extracurricular school activities be lifted immediately. Read more
