About Council Member Wilson:
New York City Council Member Carl Wilson is a longtime Hell’s Kitchen resident, community leader, and advocate who has spent his career fighting for working people in New York City. He has worked in the New York City Council for nearly a decade. First, he served as Community Board 4 Liaison in Former Council Speaker Corey Johnson’s office. After that, he became Chief of Staff to then-Council Member Erik Bottcher. In April 2026, he became the Council Member for District 3.
Carl was raised by two lifelong civil servants, his mother working in affordable housing and his father as the Sergeant of Arms in the United States Senate.
