Kristy Marmorato serves as the Councilwoman for the 13th District of the New York City Council, representing the Northeast Bronx. She holds the distinction of being the first female Republican elected in the Borough of the Bronx.
A Bronx native, Kristy was born, raised, and educated in the borough, providing her with a deep understanding of the community she represents. Growing up in Throggs Neck, residing in Pelham Bay and Country Club as an adult, and currently living in Morris Park, Kristy’s connection to District 13 is genuine. Alongside her husband, she chose to raise their daughter here, ensuring she shares similar life experiences to those they had growing up in the district.
After graduating from Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, Kristy dedicated 24 years of her life to a career in healthcare, serving District 13 for sixteen of those years. Having witnessed numerous changes in healthcare, especially during the pandemic, Kristy remained a steadfast advocate for her patients and never left their side. With this same attitude and energy, Kristy serves the diverse and vibrant constituents of District 13.
