Among them are some who will find refuge on the Upper West Side. They will live at the Park West Hotel, a private hotel on Central Park West, in Manhattan Valley. It was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2020\/08\/09\/another-local-hotel-shelters-women-who-are-homeless-for-our-safety\">used during the pandemic<\/a>&nbsp;to house homeless women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York City\u2019s \u2018right to shelter\u2019 law requires the city to find housing for any individual who requests it \u2014 regardless of immigration status or residency \u2014 so the Adams administration is legally obligated to find beds for the asylum seekers,\u201d the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/29\/eric-adams-says-nycs-received-almost-7600-migrants-since-may\/\">New York Post<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel, situated on a quiet, tree-lined street opposite Central Park, has a total of 94 rooms. There are 126 beds available for the 30 families and 20 school-aged children who will be calling this home for now.
