A group of pro-Palestinian graffiti vandals left their mark on a Brooklyn<\/a> synagogue Friday morning as the war in Israel<\/a> rages on, police said.<\/p>\n

It was one of two acts of anti-Semitic vandalism to happen in the city within 24 hours, cops and elected officials said.<\/p>\n

At about 6:45 a.m., the words \u201cJews for Palestinian Resistance\u201d were found spray painted on the sidewalk outside of\u00a0Congregation Beth Elohim<\/a>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Multiple videos have garnered attention online of people ripping down the posters throughout Manhattan,\u00a0including one<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday where a person removed a hostage poster in front of Zabar\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany in our community have family in Israel,\u201d Upper West Side Councilmember Shaun Abreu told West Side Rag when asked about the torn-down posters. \u201cMany have lost loved ones and know people who have been taken hostage by these terrorists. We must have their backs, to hold out hope and push for an end to this conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n
