One of the core aspects of the program is a full closure of designated streets, allowing for car-free activities while constructing safe gathering spaces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Masjid Nur Al-Islam, this has been a game-changer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mosque reached out to Council Member Shahana Hanif, who is Bangladeshi-American, in hopes of discussing the opening of Chester Avenue.
