We need to have the political courage across all levels of government to create a city that is walkable, prioritizes pedestrians, and ends these senseless murders,&#8221; Hanif&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2023\/08\/02\/wednesdays-headlines-erics-interim-report-card-edition\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>&nbsp;at an unrelated press conference last Tuesday, specifically in reference to&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2023\/08\/01\/split-the-baby-scaled-back-mcguinness-blvd-bike-lane\" target=\"_blank\">watered down projects<\/a>&nbsp;like McGuinness.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In order to have a city that is visionary in safety we need that to come from our top leaders and that means the mayor.
