PB CYCLE 15 WINNING PROJECTS<\/h2>\n

This year, District 39 made Participatory Budgeting history with our highest voter turnout ever: <\/strong><\/p>\n

10,419 total votes \u2014 <\/strong>including 4,845 digital ballots <\/strong>(more than any other Council District in the city!) and 5,574 paper ballots.<\/strong><\/p>\n

VOTE WEEK<\/strong>! April 11th – April 19th, 2026<\/p>\n

Participatory Budgeting (PB) vote week is here!<\/strong> Participatory Budgeting is a process that extends democratic control of the city budget directly to community members! Community members propose ideas in the Fall and then in the Spring everyone over the age of 11, regardless of citizenship status, who lives, works, or has a special connection to District 39 can vote directly on which ideas they want to be funded. This year there are proposals addressing local educational, economic justice, arts & culture, and environmental issues. <\/p>\n

Vote week will run from April 10th through April 19th.<\/strong> You can vote online<\/a> or in-person at our polling sites! My team and I will be all around the district at our polling sites \u2013 we hope to see you there! We also need volunteer poll workers to help us make sure we can get the vote out to every in the district – if you are interested please fill out this form<\/a>. <\/p>\n

If you want to learn more about the projects join the Participatory Budgeting Expo on April 15th at our office located at 197 Bond Street from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. At the Expo you will be able to talk directly to volunteers who have been working on the projects on the ballot!
