Brooks-Powers will join community leaders, elected officials, and advocates for a rally demanding that Southeast Queens be included in the City\u2019s Overnight Truck Parking Pilot and that the administration take real action to increase truck enforcement in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the City announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/html\/dot\/html\/pr2025\/safer-truck-parking-pilot.shtml\">Overnight Truck Parking Pilot<\/a> without consulting stakeholders in Southeast Queens or including any Industrial Business Zones (IBZs) in the community. Meanwhile, illegal truck parking remains a persistent issue in neighborhoods like Laurelton, Rosedale, Jamaica, Brookville and Springfield Gardens, disrupting residents\u2019 quality of life and creating safety concerns.
