Download the full checklist <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1jZb8g3awbxeu6AbtM-GFQTzNJZKwFVR3\/view?usp=drive_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Important Information<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Know your <strong>A # __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __<\/strong>  (Nine digit number that USCIS assigns immigrants).<\/li>\n<li>List your emergency contacts:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Emergency Contact #1<\/strong>: _______________________<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emergency Contact #2<\/strong>: _______________________\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact your child\u2019s school and let them know your emergency contact is allowed to pick them up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Keep a list of any medications, medical conditions, and\/or allergies.<\/li>\n<li>List your Doctor&#8217;s name and contact (for whole family).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Documents<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Residence documents:<\/strong> Documents that demonstrate your residence in the United States, regardless of immigration status. These can be pay stubs, rent payments, photos, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ownership documents:<\/strong> Title for property or rental agreement, car registrations, or other important ownership documents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Passports, Birth Certificates, Social Security, and Photo ID: <\/strong>All forms of identification from the U.S and from home country. If you have children, attach copies of their identification as well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Validation documents:<\/strong> Letters of recommendation and character witness statements from employers, faith leaders, friends and family. academic transcripts, certificates of any accomplishments or awards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Immigration Papers: <\/strong>Every legal document you have received from USCIS or your assigned court, as well as the documents you have filed in your case. (I-589 asylum applications, Notices to Appear, Orders of Removal, and Motions to Change Address or Venue.) If you have a lawyer, ask them for a copy of every document.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marriage License: <\/strong>If you are married, in a domestic partnership, attach copies of any applicable license or proof.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital Safety<\/h2>\n<p>This guide is about minimizing risk going forward \u2014 taking small, practical steps to make it harder for others to access your personal information.
