The court\u2019s decision overruling Proposition 8 is another step toward bringing marriage equality not just to California, but to each and every state in our great nation. Today\u2019s victory is a reminder of how far we\u2019ve come as a country, and of the work we still must do to achieve equality for all people. I hope that this ruling is allowed to stand and that all couples who want to legally marry in California will be allowed to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all those who worked so hard to make this possible, including American Foundation for EqualRights (AFER) and its legal team, especially Ted Olson and David Boies.
