Bullock (&#8220;Citizens United II&#8221;)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI am disappointed to learn of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to summarily reverse the decision of the Montana Supreme Court and to reaffirm its ill-considered decision in Citizens United. The Supreme Court\u2019s Citizens United decision in January 2010 opened the floodgates to massive corporate spending in elections. We\u2019ve all seen the harm that has already resulted from this decision \u2013 millions of dollars of corporate money and the rise of \u201cSuper PACs\u201d  that have upended the campaign finance system across the country. Because of this, in January 2011, the New York City Council unanimously voted to pass a resolution supporting members of Congress seeking to amend the Constitution in order to reverse Citizens United.
