Puerto Rican Secretary of Justice C\u00e9sar Miranda filed a brief today to the effect of not defending the ban on marriage for LGBT couples in response to the appeal at the First Circuit Court of Appeals in the case Conde-Vidal v. Garcia-Padilla. This, after the U. S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico dismissed in October 2014 the lawsuit seeking to end the Commonwealth\u2019s discriminatory ban on marriage for LGBT couples.<\/p>\n
