“Victor Gotbaum was a legendary labor leader who was instrumental in helping New York City through the fiscal crisis of the 1970’s. Victor worked tirelessly to bring together all sides during the crisis and his leadership helped put New York City on the pathway to recovery. A veteran of World War Two, Victor dedicated his life to making the world better place for workers and I send my condolences to his wife, former Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum.”<\/p>\n
