In the weeks ahead, the City Council will continue to closely monitor all immigration enforcement activity in our City. During these uncertain times, we remind all New Yorkers that our City\u2019s policies will not change and that contacting the City\u2014including the police department\u2014will not compromise the safety or security of immigrants.<\/p>\n
While we prepare for the uncertainties that lie ahead, the Council will continue to use every resource at our disposal to educate immigrant New Yorkers on their rights, how to plan ahead, and provide them with all necessary legal and social services.<\/p>\n
