\u201cWhile this is a tremendous step in the cause for equal rights, we must join with advocates and redouble our efforts toward making marriage equality a reality in the state of New York. I urge the New York State Legislature to place equal rights on their agenda and end discrimination against same sex couples by conferring the legal right to marry.<\/p>\n
