CITY HALL, NEW YORK<\/strong> \u2013 Council Member Lynn Schulman was officially sworn in on December 15, for a new four year term as the New York City Council Member representing District 29, continuing her long-standing commitment to serving the communities of central Queens. During her tenure, Council Member Schulman has established herself as a steadfast advocate for public health, seniors, and working families. As Chair of the New York City Council Committee on Health, she has played a leading role in advancing legislation to improve women\u2019s health, address chronic illnesses such as diabetes, and strengthen access to quality medical care for older New Yorkers. In addition, she has increased investment in the district’s local schools, enhanced quality of life for her constituents, and supported local businesses.<\/p>\n
