{"id":16,"date":"2022-01-11T22:23:33","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T22:23:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/council.nyc.gov\/julie-won\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2026-07-09T19:20:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T19:20:13","slug":"budget","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/council.nyc.gov\/julie-won\/budget\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiscal Year \u201927 Budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Tuesday, June 30, my colleagues and I voted to pass the FY&#8217; 2027\u00a0budget, which is the largest package of capital and expense investments in New York City history. This year&#8217;s adopted budget successfully restores the Mayor\u2019s cuts to critical services New Yorkers depend on. The Council fought to restore funding for cultural institutions and libraries, parks, NYCHA, affordable housing initiatives, and more.<\/p>\n<p>While the fight to bring parks funding up to 1% of the city\u2019s budget continues, this is a promising first step.
