Councilman Joseph Borelli (R – South Shore) is pleased to announce the opening of his district office at the South Shore Commons plaza in Charleston, located at 2955 Veterans Road West, Suite 2E.

Office hours are 9am-5pm on Monday through Friday excluding holidays. The phone number has remained the same; the office can be reached by telephone at (718) 984-5151, by e-mail at Borelli@council.nyc.gov or by fax at (718) 948-1592.

The former space on Richmond Avenue in Eltingville had been the council office since 1994, having served as the district offices of former Council Members Vito Fossella, Stephen Fiala, Andrew Lanza and Minority Leader Vincent Ignizio. Over the last two decades, the office had deteriorated and required a renovation and was proving too small to accommodate both staff and public needs.

“Unfortunately, we had staff and interns using the conference table as a desk, and a supply closet as an office. We faced the choice of whether to renovate and expand or find a new location. Eventually, we made the decision to come to the South Shore Commons, as there is more parking, it’s handicap-accessible, there’s room for our staff, and it’s closer to the major retail and shopping boom that’s occurring on the south shore,” said Borelli.
